Results of the first of four $50 bags of cents I acquired on 11/15/08:

wheat cents (13):
1919-D
1941 (x2)
1942
1944
1945
1946
1950-D
1951-D
1953
1954-D
1955
1957-D

Canadian (5):
1969
1974
1995
1996
2006 no mintmark

Other:
9 dimes 1975-2007
1981-S proof cent (my first ever!)

I was expecting more wheats, about 25, but this bag totaled $50.78, so I got paid for finding a dozen wheats and a proof. I hope the next bag is this generous.

So was the 1981-S the Clear S or Filled S variety?

The Clear S are considerably more valuable.

Another $50 sack sorted 12/6/8-12/11/8:

wheat cents (39):
1928 (new!)
1939 (new!)
1940
1941
1944 x2
1945 x3
1946 x2
1948
1951-D
1952 x4
1952-D x3
1953-D x4
1954-D
1955
1955-D x3
1956-D x5
1957-D
1958 x2
1958-D
and one too damaged to read the date.

Canadian cents (5): 1963, 1973, 1981, 1985, 1994

Foreign (both new to me):
* Kuwait, 20 fils (2003)
* Trinidad & Tobago, 25 cents (1972)

This is a much better wheat count than the last bag yielded.

After two years of searching, I finally filled the last memorial cents folder hole at 1973-S. The specimen I found in this bag is damaged, so I'll be looking out for a better example.

(GMan, how can I tell the difference between clear S and filled S?)

* Third row are stamped novelty cents... head of JFK, South Dakota, Liberty Bell, and Maryland (These all came from the fourth bag only)
* last row is a 1981-S proof, and two 1963 Canada cents.
