Went down towards Granite and took some pics of the Arkansas. Took a pic of the Hayden Ranch south of Leadville. The ranch was established back in about the 1870's and has quite a bit of history.

Blue is still not a color I associate with the Arkansas. I hope I can see the head-waters sometime. That ranch looks neat, is it just left to fall down now? I would think the metal hunting would be good

Thanks all. Well the Arkansas ain't blue, ng, but it is crystal clear. I just reflects the sky back at particular times of day. They are doin some restoration work on that ranch. Crazyjarhead, I believe it snows every single day somewhere here in Coldorado. A few years back it snowed so hard here they had to cancel the 4th of July fireworks display. Which I still find unbelievable, but it really did happen.

The wife and I are taking a trip to Salida... simply for the scenery. Odds favor me buying some land while I'm there

Have a safe trip, nate. Hope it works out and you buy a place. Salida's nice and the best thing is it's a short trip down to the San Luis Valley, which is one of the coolest places in Colorado to me. The mysterious San Luis Valley, I guess. Course, Rockwall TX has a mystery or two, so I've heard.
