Actually they stay all winter here, just change colour. Sort of neat thing.

I wish they would show up here again. Used to see them every year around May but I haven't seen any in a couple years.

I just read about Goldfinches. They have white feathers underneath, and translucent yellow feathers on top of the white. The light goes through the yellow feathers and reflects off the white feathers giving the yellow feathers a back lit effect. That's why they are so bright yellow. Gary
