Yesterday's finds were mainly of the 17th century variety. The field I detected, is on the edge of a village, that was booming at that time. Over the years it as produced, countless coins and artefacts from that fascinating period. In the picture are a couple of leather fittings. A complete nipple button, these usually come up without the back loop. A simple buckle, and best of all an Irish issue half penny Charles II 1683. You don't tend to find many of this type, so a good find.
