Charles Lanier Painting

I recently picked up this oil on canvas painting signed Lanier in a little thrift shop. I was told that it was a local artist so I posted on the local facebook page asking if anyone knew the artist. Ends up, he wasn't a local but is Charles Lanier who came from France in 1969 but was originally from Yugoslavia. He first painted in the US in 1969 which is what this painting is dated. The painting is 35 x 23 and is not framed. I have found that he was born in 1938 but have found no death date. Prices that I have found range from $200 to $3500. Any more information on Lanier is GREATLY Appreciated. Thanks
