Chase Account Shut down

Was informed by Chase today that my account was being closed!! They said they reserve the right to not tell me why!! Just had it for coins. So they keep Bernie Madoff's account open and allow him to commit the biggest fraud of all time but since I order coins they think its suspicious and shut my account down.

Did this happen to anyone else?

what state?

make sure you keep your accounts "Transactional" not just minimum balance ordering crap loads of coins.

have a direct deposit or billpay, use the debit card 2-3x per month etc

but anyway you slice it they can still close your account anytime they want

I get most of my orders from Chase's.

After reading this post, I am going to see if my job will allow me to just DD my exepnse reimbursements to my pickup bank.

There's a serious lack of information in your post.

Were you ordering boxes? How often? Were you dumping? Or both? If dumping, how much per week? At a teller or at a coin counter? Did you establish a rapport with the tellers and/or managers? Did they ever bring up any issues with what you were doing? Were you using just one branch? Or several branches in the area? If the latter, what specifics per branch? Etc, etc.

A short "Chase cut me off!" post tells us almost nothing.

I make sure to keep a good balance (~7000) at every bank I use for CRH, even the ones I dump at.

Let's see. YOu do 15 boxes in a week, which is a lot. Ten boxes in one bank at one time and hoping ot do maybe 40 boxes in a weeek? You say that on one dump the coin counter took 25 minutes to count your coins, so you are dumping HUGE amounts at one time. You already don't like Chase, since you talk about how they maniupulated the silver market (And that probably comes across in your attitude at the bank, whther you know it or not) and you wonder why they shut you down?

hmmm.

Seems like you are a lot of hassle for the bank and took a lot of resources from them, and they felt you just weren't worth it.

I order from only 1 chase which they don't even have me swipe my card (since they know me) Only 2 boxes a week. There is another down the street that orders them on their own which I normally get a box or 2 a week where they have me swipe my card. I should of had a direct deposit into that account and maybe it would of worked. I just kept a low balance of $50's or so. I worked at Chase for almost 2 years so I kind of knew what happened. Someone filed a Suspicious activity report. I only dump at TD.
