Camper also found this near down the block from her parents house. It is a 1918 licensed chauffeur tag from NYC. DOes anyone know if you can look up the number and find out anymore info on it like who's it was?

Neat find, I wouldn't think they'd have records going back that far but you can always call & find out!

The 1918 New York State chauffeur's was valued at $20 (pin intact, not dug) in the last edition of Connor's Price Guide to American & Canadian Chauffeur Badges. That was back in 1994, however. The total number issued is unknown, but the highest badge number reported at that time was #335,707.
