Hey Goodyguy, is that the same designer that designed my hand crank trommel? Looks about the same. love mine. Got a lot of miles on it. I designed grease fittings for the bearing surfaces.

I believe the one you are referring to was first designed and built by Mike Laine, not the same person.

Looks like a torpedo LOL. Might be good for testing gravels at a claim until bigger equipment is brought in I guess. Hopefully it's cheap to build.

Check this out, he actually uses it for small scale production mining on his claim and has for several years...............

I suppose that may have something to do with Allan being a retired aerospace engineer.

Is that a wiper motor? Did he say approx run time. Guess it would depend on the battery.

He said it was a Jeep windshield wiper motor.
As far as run time with that motor you are right. It depends upon the battery.
