One of those " I thought I was rich " fiascos!!

THOUGHT I had found a rare Persian wedding ring with
Arabic-like inscriptions - -

Turned out to be a collector's ring (on sale on eBay for $30)
for Lord of The Rings fans.
But it was a cheap thrill for a while there anyway - -
what with me imagining myself in the local newspaper
returning a wedding ring to some appreciative foreigner.

Oh, well, At least I get to keep an interesting copy of
some pop-culture piece.

Here's the writing (bottom), called "Elvish" or Mordor script,
compared to what i thought it was
(Arabic script, top).

The jeweller who made the original ring(s) for the movie is located in the town
where I live.
