all,

Well i have been promoting our little group here in north florida to everybody who listens..lol...and i was talking with a co worker who has a home she was using for a store front/antique shop(built in the 40's) close to my location in florida. After a brief discussion she said sure , and wrote a little permission slip for me in case local sheriffs( small town) or neighbors stopped by also added her phone number on there so they could verify it.
Well the wife and I headed out and went to go eat at one restaurant to only find it had closed down...:-(..so we drove past another smaller less appetizing establishment. We stopped in there got ourselves some food and needless to say we both had to use the bathroom before leaving, it almost ruined our trip out, but we felt better once we left there and lost sight of all the trucks full of mudd..lol...
Mrs Ocalasix(allybeanie) had taken a few photos of me while i was digging around, found alot of pull tabs older ones and some can slaw, and some metal bits and pieces. I have them all soaking right now, i have a possible bullet( not CW) , a small and i mean small thin butter knife( possibly) i see some thin lines on it but it needs to be cleaned. i know of 1 wheatie, and a couples rosies i believe they all are soaking at the moment. and then there is one small coin shaped item, still soaking can't see any visable markings as of yet on it, stay tuned i will updated with pics of the items for possible ID help...coins are done bad by this crappy florida soil...

here are a cpl pics of me in yard. check out the possible home to detect next door....:-)

got a pic of the small knife and the wheatie is a 1945D, the other coins all were clad. And then the small unknown object might of been a piece of cut aluminum?? button is newer. small cover might of been from make up or something. Fired bullet is definitely goldish in color, so its newer.

here are the photos.

knife - fairly small , like a small butter cutting knife, curved on back/possiblely 2 piece? lines on it on handle, no writing or other markings.

Glad you were able to hunt the place, looks like it was fun. The mystery item looks like it's just a zinc penny. Zinc pennies get so messed up from being in the ground after only 15 years it's ridiculous. Have a good one!

the mystery round object is smooth, not copper looking, looks like aluminum..thanks though..six

Probably worth another hunt, I'd be surprised if there weren't more coins there.

yeah me too, back yard was very trashy...gonna check into the older white next door...too....six
