I used Hydroflouric acid to dissolve some quartz to reveal some quite cool specimens. My question is can the HF be reclaimed? Distillation? Or is it not worth the effort

To try and answer your question without yet another safety message, I dont know if recovery of the HF is worth the effort unless you are dealing with larger quantities and it's hard for you to get. It can be filtered but you would still need to precipitate to liberate all of the silica from solution.
