Very interesting cache. Nice find!
Guess they got stoned and dropped their money! ;D
Congrats!

Are you anywhere near a railroad? Hundreds of Chinese were brought here to work at building tracks for trains expanding from coast to coast. Monty

No, no rail road......gold.

Have you dated the coins yet?

Whoa, that's a lotta chow mein!
5 watches?!?
Big WHOA! Nice site.

Nice hunt and congrats on the cache! HH, Mike

That's a lot of coins. Nice find. How is the condition of the watch?

And here I am in S. Korea, and finding some Chinese holed coins mixed in with the Korean holed and even a few Japanese holed coins. But, no Chinese coin cache yet. So, youall have got me buzzing.
Please let me know what dates you get on those coins. If you need help, email hikeinmts@hotmail.com I have a number of Chinese holed coin books, just begging to be used.
Great hunt!!! Keep hunting close to/around that area.....where there were those, there are bound to be more.

He hasnt cleaned his up yet but I have quite a few that I have wanted to date.I have dated a few that date back to the 1700's,If you are serious I will e-mail ya few pics of some??

Hi, And, I am very serious about helping you figure out what you have/help you date the coins.
It seems that there are others on this site that can do the same thing, or have places to send you that have the info.
But, ITS BEEN ONE LONG WINTER HERE IN S. KOREA, and I am bored stiff.....and would love a good reason to get
the books off the shelf, thumb through them, and give some help to a fellow THer.
So, please send me some/a lot of/all of the photos of all the coins, and I will get back with you ASAP.

Thanks for giving me a try. Hope to be of help. Bill, in S. Korea
