Ok, folks, I got my two front tires fixed this morning and should be rolling out of here tomorrow morning after "rush hour" is over here in Lee's Summit, MO. My GPS says it'll take about 4-5 hours to get to Blackwell. Now....if I calculate this correctly.....................BURDIE.....I've tried not to say or do anything to jinx this.....but I think my calculations say.......................CTH2 IS JUST ALMOST A FULL REALIZATION THIS TIME AROUND!!!!!!!!!!

Bran, you gave can your "Big Boss" a boat load of thanks from me........and you know I'm talking about the BIG BOSS high above all of us. This time, HE has allowed you, Christy, Cyn, and myself the chance to make this hunt a REALITY.

Cyn.....just a matter of hours.

I can't believe you would let something like your brakes being out stop you. You know you have an emergency brake!!! If you get on interstate, heck man, you only have to stop once at Caldwell and you'll have miles to coast to a stop. It sounds like you don't want to show us up with that new detector!!! You were one of the reasons I was coming to watch you work your new toy! I think you need to re-think your brake situation. That emergency brake will do all the braking you could ever need!

Scronge,I drove a '53 buick with metal to metal brakes from Petaluma,CA to KC,MO.And ,yes,coming down the mountains was an experience,I don't know what held that transmission together and I had the wife and babies in there with me.Sold it the 1st day in KC.The linings were completely gone.Come on now,be adventurous!

OHHH...even I can drive a car with no brakes! When we first got married, we had a Baja VW...no brakes except for the emergency brake between the bucket seats. I learned how to stop that thing on a dime!


*Let me add a however... I do not endorse driving without brakes!
