Jay & April had planned a trip to Las Vegas and had flown out yesterday morning. Not anticipating that the transplant would be this soon, April spent less than 10 hours there before flying back home. It depends on how her mother does, she will return to Vegas later tonight or tomorrow. Jay stayed...can't get no refunds on the packaged Vegas deal.

Anyway, I've been babysitting....Annelise will be 2 months old tomorrow.

Please keep my DIL, April's mother, Carolyn in your prayers. Some of you may know already, that she's been on the waiting list for a liver transplant. That opportunity came last night, she will be receiving the transplant today. I will keep you informed. Prayers to the donor's family too, cause someone lost their life in order for another to live.

It's amazing how much Annelise looks like her daddy when he was that age. Spoiled? Me spoiling her? Shoot, so much has changed in 27 years. No baby powder on baby girls, no sleeping on the stomach, no baby food for 6 months, and those new diapers (the dry kind) when they're wet it feels dry. The things they have now for babies are something else.

The transplant/surgery went very well, her color is back normal and will be moved out of ICU tomorrow. She's heavy sedated and all kind of meds, other than that Carolyn is doing fine. She will be in the hospital for a good long time yet, so keep her in your prayers. April flew back out to Vegas and last I heard when Jay called, they were at Hoover Dam.
