Christmas Gift for a Fishing Buddy

I like to refinish old bamboo flyrods and wanted to share the before and after pics of a bamboo flyrod I am giving a fishing buddy for Christmas.

It’s a Heddon Deluxe President model handmade in the early 1950’s.

Thanks Oregon Viking. I like to fish bamboo and because of the slower rod action, every fish really puts a bend in the flyrod.
I refinished one of my Grandpa's bamboo flyrods and enjoyed using it in the Wisconsin Driftless area. Here's a link to the video...
