cigarette lighter

Sorry I don't have a photo today loaned my camera to my son. Saturday went yard saleing and found a cigarette lighter made by "Thorens" it's swiss made and has a patent # 137508 I think this would date it to 1873 to 1874, It is in good condition except that it is very dirty and needs a flint. can anyone let me know about what the value is and should I leave it as is or is it worth sending of an getting it cleaned and get working. gave $10 Dallas for box of four lighters one was a good match safe. all help and reply thank you in advance
