Hi all:
I went back today to my city house and spent a few hours on the back yard. The oddest thing I found was a "compressed" Rosie that I tried valiantly to turn into a half dime or such. But ol' FDR just kept smiling back at me.
I also found a 1973 Austrian 10 groschen, a cheap ring, make-up cover, rose tags, and a hose head. One neat relic was a "Pompeian Massage Cream" cover. I researched it and found it was an early 1900's product. It claimed, among other things, to "make double chins disappear magically!"
The Pompeian company was bought out by Colgate Palmolive in 1927 and the massage cream was discontinued. I also found enough toy cars to open a parking garage.
HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne
