Found this on the surface on a recent hunt. I performed a search but didn't come up with a positive match.. is the civil war era or modern?

looks older style --crossed cannons --any wording or marking at all on the back?
 

I think your collar disc is a type 1 or 2 and was in use from 1910-1937. The attachment type is what dates it to that period. Here's a link you might find useful.
