I haven't been out for a few weeks while recovering from a foot injury, so it was great to get out and dig a few relics yesterday. I went back to the Confederate site that last month gave up an A button and some friction primers. I thought I would stay just a few hours to test out my foot but ended up putting in about nine hours.....it's hard to leave when you're finding CW items.

I found several whole and broken friction primers, 3 bullets, and 11 grape/canister shot.

You did very well. Those friction primers are getting very hard to get.

Great hunting spot--:occasion14:

Worth every minute! I've never found a friction primer. I think our ground eats them up. Nice job!

Congratualtions on the nice relics! :occasion14:

Great Finds, Congrats!!

Congrats on the nice finds. That’s a nice group pic of all the primers. Well done.

wow, gotta love it! torn between super cool and very awesome but actually both apply.

In the three years I've been metal detecting I've only found 3 friction primers so you had a stellar day IMO. Thanks for posting.

Looks like a real good hunt to me
