Civil War Button

I found the back of a button at a union camp site in Virginia. On the back in small letters are the words "Waterbury Button Co" I wonder if anyone can tell me what would have been on the otherside had the button been complete. Any info would be appreciated

The Waterbury Button Company has been in existence since 1812, and remains one of the leading manufacturers of buttons. Unfortunately, there is no way to identify the button that you found from the back alone. However, if you can post a sharp photo of the back, it might be possible to determine a date range for it.
