Nice button. I think that button is 1820-30.
 

Cooler button than I've ever found- from the midwest tho so not saying much.

I am pretty sure that is a post revolution New York militia button. NY11 in Albert's book on page 198/199.

FLAT BUTTON TYPE INFANTRY BUTTON * more likely Seminole war eraish 1820 -1840 than civil war but of course it could have been on old state owned militia military uniforms issued during the war ...

note --that the eagle is facing left rather than right ...
