Civil War Buttons this weekend

My friends and I were in the woods this weekend and found a hillside full of iron and buttons. Only found one bullet. Maybe it has been picked over in the past, most of the buttons were very deep in the ground.

These two New Yorks came out of the same hole.

The regular eagle still has the material in the shank.

This was my Saturday finds.

Todays finds, not as great as yesterday. But it shows what I missed.

My total, not too bad. We had a good time as usual.

Here a couple of great finds from one of my partners, a New Hampshire Militia Button and a saddle shield. Awesome finds.


Almost forgot, here is all the Iron and other odds and ends I dug. I believe there a few tent spikes in there. Thanks for looking and HH!
