I had know clue he was a survivor of Andersonville prison! Great info.

I saw a gravestone site with his name, but he would have been 52 in 1862 and buried in Iowa, so probably not him though possible.

I think your right cause he was in his 30's I think...unless it was an error.

reportedly he was 32 when he enlisted ...according to the NY state records for his unit
