Civil war Pistol? cocked and ready to fire

Memorial Day weekend hunt at Civil War site.
Found Pistol on confederate side of cavalry battle in Western Md.
Also Confederate Gardner 54 cal minie ball.
Dug a lot of iron. Hunted out site. It may be percussion pistol?

I see you were in Western Maryland .. I use to hunt the Rohresville area quite a bot in the late 60's and early 70's.

Those little derringers were very popular, this was also the same style of one used by Booth to shoot Lincoln.
