The weather here today was perfect. The only draw back is that the ground is so hard, it is difficult to dig, and gives you some strange readings once in awhile. Went to a park today that I have hit many times in the past, but thought that I would concentrate on deeper signals to see if they would pan out or not. It was a strange day. Found lots of clad, and most of it was in the 5 to 7 inch range. Unfortunately, none of the coins were silver. Shortly before I was about to quit, I got a very strange reading on the detector. At about 5 or 6 inches, the machine wouldn't shut up. So, I dug. Amagine my surprise when silver (wilver, or whatever you want to call it) showed up in the bottom of the hole.
It was a pendant off of a necklace, that appears to have been made in the Southwest somewhere by one of the Indian tribes down there. It is outlined in silver, with the image of a bear's paw made from turquoise.
A nice item. This is also the first piece of jewelry that I have found in this park. After we get some rain, I will go back and work on some of the other deep signals.
