After having good luck at my first visit to a park, I decided to return this morning for an hour. Well, an hour turned into 2.5 hours because I was still finding clad. My pinpointing is definitely getting better and my time spent digging is shortening making today my most productive and efficient day so far. I had issues uploading pics yesterday so the pic below is yesterday and todays finds. Thanks for looking and HH! $4.25 today and $5.55 yesterday. FB_IMG_1466473454997.webp

I had a clad day Saturday also, not this much however.

Love it when I find a place loaded with clad. It means no one is hunting it much and there has to be some jewelry lost there too. If you are hunting near a children's play area, be sure to hunt the border between the sand or chips and the grass, usually a loaded spot.

Thanks Susan. I found the most quarters by the sidewalk where people sit to watch the games. Also by a small skate park.

I don't mind the clad........
it provides good practice, pays for batteries, (eventually) pays for your initial equipment investment, will help with any equipment upgrades.......and maybe pay for a nice dinner for 2...........:happysmiley:

i JUST GOT HOME FROM TOT LOT & REALLY HAD A BANNER DAY . 3.5 HOUR HUNT NETTED $13.72 . FROM ALL THE CLAD I DID PICKUP 5 WHEATES. STILL IN THE CLEANING PROCESS HAVEN'T CHECKED THE DATES. NOT TRYING TO UPSTAGE YOU ,BUT I HAD TO TELL SOMEONE,THIS HAS BEEN MY BEST OUTING EVER IN A YEAR AN A HALF. NICE FINE & GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE TO YOU

Congrats Bob.

My husband and I both said it looks like no one has detected this area. We were only looking for coins. Next time I'm not going to discriminate so much and will start digging anything that isn't iron. Hoping to find jewelry eventually.

Battery money, yes! And accessories.

Finding all those clad coins gives you a great chance to brush up on skills like pinpointing and digging. Like someone else already said, they also pay for batteries.

Nice cladfest! $$ in any form is a great find.
Clearing all that out will make it easier to find jewelry and other goodies that are hiding under the clad.
Your silver and gold will be appearing any time now.

Excellent! Where there is clad, there is jewelry, so dig ALL coin signals and those in the high 50's-60's. Only 50 more hunts like that and you will have your ATPro paid off....Sub 8-)

starting season 4 of digging and clad total as of Monday-------$1800.51. then add silver, sterling, gold, relics, copper, brass, lead & wrought iron------------------PLUS all the silvers and errors from roll hunting for 3 years

''spent digging is shortening''

You touched on one of the key areas. Soon you will be able to work out how deep the object is by its sound & get a 6th sense with where it is in the pile/turf.

Now you have master clad, look for some older areas for silver.

You two are doing great! I had to make myself slow down in situations like your park. Going fast from clad coin to clad coin I was not paying attention to the deeper older coins or digging the lower vdi numbers. Easy to miss the goodies. This park is going to keep you busy for a while. Good luck.
