Hi Everyone:

Last Sunday was able to hook up with "Bobby S " and we went to a local park in this area that dates back to the 1930s. It looked promising and had a rather nice carousel in it. I even told Bobby..who I had never met till that day but communicated many times via email, that we should search around it. I selected one area and started detecting and digging everything! My thought was once I remove the new stuff, then the older coins will be easier for me to find..Well, I walked away that evening with just over $6.45 and I was wasted from the sun. As we were heading back to our resepctive rides, I asked Bobby for the probe I had loaned him...he just pointed out that I was holding it in my left hand..I needed some water.

Bobby S did find a few pieces of jewelery...he showed me a gold earing but I never did check to see if there were any markings. He also found a few wheates which is what I was looking for around that CAROUSEL...I could almost cry.

Still I had a great time detecting with someone who I have met on this site.

Sincerely,
Jeff

That's the most important thing right there, in by book! I'm always pushing it - not wanting to stop hunting to take a water break. Something I need to work on as well.

$6.45 in clad? Probably not what you were looking for, but not hard to take, either!

It was a great time detecting with you to Jeff. Dont worry, theres definately more wheats by that carousel, i only searched like a five foot area and found those two.

Glad you had a chance to get out...Waiting on the "Chef" to find his goods..or maybe Rachel?
