Whats a detectorists to do? humm, its xmas... hubbys working...kids are out...turkeys in the oven....and ut oh...there in the corner softly calling is my dfx...so, I grabbed my gear... Jumped in the truck and decided to hit under the bleachers.... so it was a cladmas for sure...lots of clad for me.. I did find one wheatie 57D and a single celtic earring, sterling, s
o I will recycle that earring and make a neat necklace with gemstones and use that earring as the focal point of the necklace... all in all, I had a grand time, getting all muddy and dirty....god I love this hobby..
gonna look up one quarter its a 65 but I bet its not silver....gonna check..

you did better than me today! i hunted an old lot where a 1920sish house had once stood. nothing but trash! ::) somedays its like that!

Nice short hunt BB! Unfortunately the Quarter is not silver, 1964 was the last year for American silver coins with a few exceptions. They put over 1.8 billion 1965 Quarters into circulation that year to help ease the loss of silver coins. Must be a lot of 1965 Dimes out there as well. Even I find find many 1965 Quarters here in Germany on the Army posts. HH, Mike

Funny thing is I found a 1965 Qrter in the park over here. See my post from a few days ago.
 
Hey Rae, nice batch of coins for such a short hunt. Looks like the bleachers are doing well for ya, so anytime you need gas money...there it is! Congrats on the silver earring too.
