I recently purchased this Saratoga. It's embossed Clarke & White New York, and it is very dark olive glass with tons of little bubbles. The top is applied. There are a few little flakes on the top but otherwise it's in perfect condition. It's hard to get good pics of it, but I'll take some natural light ones tomorrow. I've read about Clarke & White, and I'm thinking the age is about 1855-1865. I know many Clarke & Whites are pretty common. Any ideas on approximate value? Thanks!

Did they go through? Here they are again.

Howdy bhofcc,

I'm looking forward to seeing your new bottle. There is some kinda temporary Computer Curse going on TNet-wide, that is affecting Photo attachments, so take your time and give it the full tilt Cinerama treatment. Your link didn't go there.

There are other ways of photo illustrating your posts.

This lithograph was put out by Clarke & White in 1854:

York: Clarke &
White; Paris:
Lemercier, 1854." 2012 American Antiquarian Society

That's a cool link Surf, and a neat lithograph too. I'm not sure I would be too keen on drinking water from the spring, but if back then they thought it was going to help them then I guess they'd do anything.

Hopefully these go through.

Very nice! I found a Lynch and Clark in Savannah Ga years ago. It was from around 1810.

Very nice, I want one of those for my collection of quart mineral waters....

Nice bottle common color common mold variant. Not worth a real lot.

I do not think there is really anything "common" about this bottle it is over 150 years old and is in extremely good condition, it can probably fetch $50-$60/$70. Nice find and good eye.

thats a beauty. i dug up a broken one about a week ago. probably my fault the ground was a little to frozen to be digging.

Every bottle is something beautiful to me,common or not<<<<bottle newbie?I like the patina on that one BHOC

Thanks everyone, Vik I think you might be overestimating the value but it is nice nonetheless.
