Not sure if that is a Clay or not (looks like one to me honestly) but regardless it's a nice find. Here's some pictures of the only Clay I ever found in Tampa, Florida. It's a decent size piece and for some reason the blade has a slight curve. Is the left ear on yours have a ding or was it made that way?

It was made that way.. I am on a predominately late archaic site, and have found many clay (mostly broken). Two of them including this one have been killers though. I really like yours. I have read that the ears may have been functional, that's why its so common to find them with one perfect delta wing, and one re-worked

I looked at your picture again, that is definitely a Clay. That's cool the site you're looking on is producing them, you'll find more killer ones soon (definitely post some pictures when you do).

Holy crap you’ve been holding out, Steve!! That thing is amazing. The clay is such a cool form, but the flaking is all over the place. Yours looks like it has the best of both worlds. Is that a personal find?

Not a personal find. My fossil buddy found it on a dig site he has. It's been a few years ago, maybe 4-5 since he found it. I've gone with him there 2 times & found 2 brokes and another nice Clay. Not as nice as that one.
I'm on a site in Sarasota that is loaded with nice sharks teeth but I haven't found a flake yet so I think it wasn't habitat that was used by early Florida's people.
