Was scouting for some early-season duck hunting opportunities in Essex Co. Virginia at an acreage that had just been clear-cut and found what appears to be an abandoned Fort Nottoway or Halifax point due to the obvious inclusion. There is grinding on the notches--thought that was kinda cool. Hope everyone had a decent weekend.

Hafted, used, resharpened, worn down, discarded. Very cool.

is it more round than flat? if so it could have been the makings of some sort of ear pendant.

looks like that one got alot of use, nice find.

Good point, had a hard life!!

It's more flat than round. In the bottom photo you can see the inclusion best--couldn't knap it out. Found some colonial glass within five steps so I'm trying togo back and bring my MD. Gotta be more points out there. On a nice little knoll smack between two creeks.
