Clovis? Possible resharpened from Texas

I inherited this piece, which was found in Texas near Fredericksburg. It’s small, and heavily reworked. I’m thinking a Clovis but I can’t tell if it was made as a knife or broken or then reworked into one. The large flute looks intruded upon and seems to be made smaller. Also seems to have later reworking. Any help or insight is appreciated.

It definitely looks like what I’d expect from a “used up” Clovis. They resharpened them until they were a nub. I’ve only found one whole Clovis. It’s in similar condition. 1 3/4” long. Used until there wasn’t much left. Even though they aren’t pristine 5” points, they are still the real deal and over 12,000 yrs old and rare. Treasure in my book!👍🏻

Thanks. On mine, it looks like it may have broken along the hafting area then repaired. Also looks like it may have been a knife with the interesting resharpening. Appreciate the picture!

I am curious how this one will go, I don’t get much hands on experience with paleo points but it sure looks like it could be an authentic one. I’m more confident in saying it has been resharpened. Love to see the paleo points posted

In terms of authenticity, definitely authentic. I know where it was pulled from in the farm after it was plowed…
