✅ SOLVED Clueless! Found in Civil War relics area. Rosettes?

Found these two items in the same area that has been a place we've dug up numerous Civil War items. They both seem to be brass although the smaller one has some rust on the back side. The larger one is about the size of an Eisenhower dollar and the smaller one is about the size of Kennedy half dollar.
Design (larger): very light floral scribing
Design (smaller): beaded on our rim, plain in the middle
I'd appreciate any help I can get and thanks for looking!

i don't think it's a rosette, looks like one though. But it looks like it was against iron at some point, most rosettes I've found have lead backs.

My vote is something else, but not sure what.

IMHO the larger one with the holes looks like the back of a pocket watch. The second one looks like a rosette that has lost it's lead backing.

Yeah from your picture, I just don't think it ever had lead in the back of it. But look closely for signs of lead, if you see any lead remains then that'll tell you if it lost it.

I agree the other one looks like a watch back.

Like dug was saying the first one is back to a pocket watch like the photo i posted that is one me and DiggerVet dug out of a hutsite a few weeks ago, the second one is more of less rosette that is like the one in the photo 1st line 3rd one to the right.
