Ahh the cut is wonderful. I got my little places near the st johnny's and another near mayport and it's panning out nicely indeed. One place the beach looks like that one pic above, about 6 feet of sand cut down from the dune. Many many coins just laying on the surface, not entire exposed like someone placed them there, but you can almost just walk by and look down, and see them.
in area 1 I Found some silver, one wedding ring with the initials BWS in the inside of it, an ok sized diamond on it, (i think it's real, will have it tested hopefully tomorrow), lots of clad, and wheaties and of course the iron stuff too. I think ill need to get in a bit closer to the shore to find the older stuff...
The other area, I am finding all kinds of stuff, square nails, some old iron stuff, a few broken pieces of pottery.. well they look like plates because it has a pattern on it, kind of a blue pattern on white..and some kind of buckle from a belt. has the letter C on it and I think two stars on it as well. Its kind of grungy and im electrolysising it now to clean it up and see what it is.
I also found two old coins, one silver one copper, but they are so worn I can't tell what they are. the copper I think might be a large cent, the pattern on it is barely visible and im hoping that after soaking overnight to get some of the crap off it'llshow better. the silver one, it might as well be a button because it's pretty much smooth and worn off.
stuff is out there folks, go find it.
