Howdy All, Here are some more local Virginia pieces. Both of these Cobbs Triangulars were found within 15 miles of my home. The little broken decorated piece of slate came from the trash pit field. Check out the rope like design across the bottom side. The crystal is from near Marion Virginia. It is double terminated and has a groove ground into it so it could be hung from a string. Enjoy. steve

That is one cool pendant!

Looks like you have a site that has some real potential!

You've got a very impressive collection.

I've been collection rocks, fossils and relics for 50 years or more. I was fortunate enough to marry a lady who enjoyed relic hunting and usual made the better finds.
We spent several years working migrant work about 6 months of the year and then spending several days a week hunting relics on the off season. Four months of the year were tree planting in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina and a lot of the sites were clearcut / burn sites. Some of these sites were 1500 acres or more of bare ground, ash and rocks and relics. If I found camp sites while planting, I would flag them so I could find them easier and then my wife, my daughter and me would spend the day hunting relics. There are so many people not plowing fields now compared to back then. That makes a big difference for the younger hunters.

Man Steve, I'm loving all this amazing Virginia material! Thank you for keepin the cold out w/ those good stories and explanations too- really good stuff  HH! Yakker

Love the crystal.I believe the personal adornments are tops on my wanna find list.I have only a couple finds that fit in that category.. I also enjoy the slate but don't have any that's incised.Very unique and a nice change from the usual finds thanks for the view..mjm
