Oh man.....there is a 4 page thread on this that is never ending.

Its really up to you...I use one because i hunt very rocky areas and hills /inclines, Roadtear outs- etc....places that arent flat.

If you are only going to hunt flat parks and ballfileds....you may not need one, But i think its worth it personally.

You will problly get many mixed feelings on this.

Get one. Garrett coils chip.

In the days of the WOT i even seen steering wheel covers used.

I used gorilla tape on the stock coil and it's holding up well. When I ordered the 5x8 I ordered the cover too. A small roll of gorilla tape is $5.00 at Rural King. It will prob leave some tape on it if I remove it but I'm sure I could get it off if I had too.

Before I purchased my AT Pro I had a discussion with a gentleman here at the Garrett office which he stated if you'll be working rocky terrain he suggested the cover and for a few bucks it's alot cheaper than a whole new coil.

Get a can of spray on bed liner and you will not have to worry about cleaning the crap out of the coil cover if that's a problem.

I was thinking about spraying it down with plasti dip tonight. My ace250 coil lasted pretty good considering how badly I treat it. I'm definitely gonna give my at pro a fighting chance though.
