Is it advisable to use a cover for my equinox 600. I detect only on the beach.

Always! Your coil will last a lot longer and don't forget tp remove it to clean out the sand.

Most people do .I dont use one just my preference But Steve is correct "sometimes " LOL Kiddin Steve!!!
Just keep debris from being in there it can cause false signals , and it will protect your coil from scratches or being broke if you hit a rock really hard. Good question.....

Cheap insurance. I drilled holes in mine ala Colonel Dan. Keeps the sand to a minimum when the surf rinses it out while detecting.

I’ve went thru 2 even with marine epoxy. So how would that coil have held up? Mine stays on the sand.

I use the Minelab cover. Take it off and clean after every trip. Works fine for beach hunting.
