ok heres the deal when I got my Tesoro Eldorado from a prospecting shop less than a month ago the salesman put a brand new coil cover on it ,but in doing so he cracked it an it has never fit all the way around properly which in turn everytime you go out it gets dirt ,sand, etc between the coil an cover..........now I have talked to a few an heard this is a common thing so how do I fix it ,do I keep buying covers or is there a good way to seal the coil ,I've heard about a few using rhino lining or such ,but does this interupt the coil pick up at all ,or does anyone have any ideas I figure a few bucks to cover my coil is alot better than buying a new coil long before I need to.

Always use covers, if the crack is too much of a pain in the a*s, buy another one.

I don't have any cracked covers but...In the past I have used simple, black electrical tape along the seam of the cover. You can hardly see it and it works just fine. I have also sprayed the seam of the cover with automotive fenderwell spray. You can get the spray at most any automotive parts store. The spray doesn't seem to hinder the performance of the coil in any way.

Put the next coil cover out on your driveway blacktop in the sun for a few hours just before installing it next time. Softens 'em up a bit so they slip on easier.

thanks for the advice guys :icon_thumright:
