So when I bought my F2 a month or so ago, it came with two coils. It came with one 8" and one 4" coil. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each coil? Should I ditch those and buy a different coil, or are these sufficient?:dontknow:

Truth About Search Coils

The specific coils that came with your F2 are fine and made specifically for your F2. The 4" is good for tight spots and high trash areas. The 8" is for general purpose hunting. If you decide to hunt for deeper targets in large areas, say farm fields, a larger coil may be required. Till then, learn the F2, especially sounds. GL
