Coin flips

So, I thought cool, take the advice here, order in some coin flips in various sizes to catalog all my coins and tokens.

Then I started to shop online for flips and cardboard 2x2's.

Ok, so what is the deal with vinyl, poly, grrrrr So, what is the one you would use? I dont want to get snap tight cases or anything, but at the same time, I dont want to damage them carelessly. It is ok to put them in 2x2 no matter the window material? Just curious guys, and thanks for explaing to a newb!

vinyl will leave a green gooey residue on coins.

OK, so what is your choice then? Mylar the way to go then?

I use the Mylar ones....Havent had any issues, but have only had them for a few years

I just buy an assortment on Ebay (Cardboard coin Flips) the ones you staple shut. Work fine for me. if you look around you can get great deals on ebay

and of course 20 Pocket album pages

Those BCW pages are GARBAGE. Flimsy, hard to remove coins, and tear easily. Use pages made by Cowens.

Well I thank you all, price is a big factor, but I will always pay a little more for some things if that means I donts have to go back and fix/deal with it a lot. Again, thank you all.

Yeah, the Cowen's one are more expensive, for sure. I bought the BCW ones from Amazon cause they were cheap and since then have gone back to the Cowens.

I always have an issue sliding the stapled cardboard flips in and out of the plastic pages. They are so darn difficult to take back out, { way too tight !! } I often rip the plastic pages.

the best way I have found is, instead of trying to grab the top of the cardboard flip I pulling up,

is to use by Thumb Nail at the bottom & push the Flip up & out. of course a jaggy Staple on occasion still causes problems

Yeah I started doing it that way but the staples get stuck on the way up. It's quite stressfull. Push up on flip, bite tongue, curl toes, tense body up in fear of a 25 cent page tearing on me.
