Ok, a friend of mine found this coin this weekend we are having a hard time IDing it anyone knows what this is. Originally we thought it was a English farthing, but the back doesn't match. Any help will be great

A better pic of this side and the other side along with either a ruler or another coin for scale might help in an early ID.

I guessed French from the fleur-de-lys but that was as close as I could get.

The date is in the 9 o'clock position of the pic you posted first--and may vary.

Looks like the range on these is 1636-1642.
