Coin Marking....J...J and more J's

I have been keeping up with this board for a while and after reading the other post about coin marking I thought I would add this...

I have been finding a Lot.. like 2-10 coins per roll 50-100+ per box of coins with a large BLACK J on the coins. And guess what skunks....

Anybody else finding J's

J are you out there??

Great Forum..Good Info I normally run through 6-10 Boxes a week but last week was a total skunk minus a few 40% in loose change at the bank.

i've been finding what looks to be black marked 6 g or 9's on my coins

Someone marks the edges of halves with a black Sharpie marker around here. Burns me up.. People quit marking coins. mark the wrappers if you must. Doug

How can you mark the wrappers? All tge banks around here require them to be ran through the counter. Even if you take in rolls they will strip and run them through.....?

who cares as long as u mark the old ones and not the nice ones for future numismatic folks

I care! Going through a box of marked coins is a real drag and there is no point to it.
People that mark coins have no respect towards others.

Found some J marked halves in a skunk box from NC today, so they made it to western NC.

The silver in the halves boxes here moved out before the "J" markings turned up. All of my halves boxes have been skunks for a few weeks now. I cleaned out my buy bank of halves boxes every week and I'm still plugging away as new boxes come in.

I'm still finding silver and NIFC's, but only in CWR's, another CRH'ers dumps, and teller trays. I'm having to make mini road trips to expand my search area for halves. I'll be posting yesterdays finds later when I can upload some pics.
