coin pricing and id

Do yourself a favor and get a grading book or Photograde book. But it will kill you when you find all your "nice" coins grade as F-12 out of 70 points. ::)

The red book as it is called. Is a guide to all coins minted in the U.S.
You can find it in any book store-- or online at Barnes and Noble.
Retail price is $14.95 this will give you an idea of what the coin is worth. at the start of each new listing for the coins there is a brief summary of how to do a basic grading on your coins.
If you have coins from other countries or of unknown origin post them here in the what is it section and someone will id it

The Red Book is a great source for coin values. However, as a coin dealer I have dealt with for many years told me...Books depicting coin values are for coins that are in coins collections not for coins found in the ground.
