Coin/Token Help Plz!

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me Identify this coin or token? Found in Upstate New York last fall. I've taken it to a dealer. Who stated the it is indeed a coin or a token but other than that couldn't tell me anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sizewise it looks to be the core of a penny, cept of course, Abe would be facing the wrong direction, Chris
