Coins in Bags?

Yes, I am a newby and understand the concept of the coin roll hunting (thanks to the guide that is posted) but I had also read somewhere about purchasing coins at banks that are in "bags." Does this literally mean purchasing loose coins in a bag?

Also, does anyone know of a coin machine brand that does not charge a fee? My bet is that they are few and far between.

My first bank "outing" will be Monday afternoon--that is, if I get off work at a decent hour.

A lot of banks have free coin counters for their members. Just search around, and you'll eventually find a bank with a free coin counter.

Purchasing a bag of coins means, yes, buying a bag of loose coins. But sometimes, there's a mix of rolled and loose coins.

It's up to the bank or credit union as to fees being charged at the coin counter. I have not seen a free counter, unless a minimum balance is held in the account. I'm sure free counters do exist.
