I saw on here a while ago a gentleman who spoke about checking the coin star machine on the way out of stores! I've gotten into the habit. Most of the time, if I find anything, it's a blob of pennies stuck together with gum or something nasty… but yesterday I found this fun thing!

It's pretty beat up, but hey! It's been through a war! I don't know what it's made of because it's pretty soft, but I'm thinking tin? It also had a little penny friend, which I put up for size.

It's just nifty, so check the cast offs!
It may give you something neat, too! :icon_thumright:

Its dated 1941 right?

That's a very cool find! I always ccheck as well. Ive found quite a bit of change, the most at one time was just under $2. Found my first silver dime last week. Today found two pennies stuck together.

great score on the Franc!! Never know when treasure presents itself!

The 50 C coin is a Mexican 50 centavo.

Welcome to T'Net.

Nice. I have quite a few CoinStar treasures. They're great.

I made out pretty good a few weeks ago.

I'm trying to meet up with the CoinStar guy and hope to work something out. the girl in the store can't really help me, although she would be more than willing if it was up to her.
oh well.

Keep lookin' though. Nice coins do show up from time to time.

Uhhmmm....maybe because they are worth almost as much as a Chuck E Cheese token???

I believe it may be a byproduct of feeding the coins too fast.
