I hit the local coin star machine while visiting relatives in Pennsylvania. On top of the machine were three foreign coins, a Canadian nickel & dime and a Mexican coin. In the reject bin was a 1950 Rosie. On the way outside I found a coinstar receipt on the sidewalk. It is for $187. I tried to return it but the lines were too long. I'll try again later this weekend. I am sure someone is missing it bad.

I work in a grocery store and every morning when I go into my store I always check the reject slot of my Coin Star machine, today I found 4 Canadian nickles,a Euro and a 1950 Quarter.I think the reason that silver coins get rejected is either their color or their weight.

silver quarters weigh just a hair more than clad so they get rejected due to their weight. the machine thinks they are fake, which is good for those of us who know better

Great discoveries! Awesome you tried to return the receipt! That would be an awesome find if it goes unclaimed. Well in the case of the coin star machine not accepting silver coins all I have to say is YEAH!! Cha-Ching !

Great find!

But PLEASE check the receipt!
You may only be able to cash it in today, I can't quite remember.
Happy hunting

Yep, they are fake. The machine knows that if it's actually worth something, it just can't be "real" money. ;)

Turns out there was a 24ht requirement so the receipt is worthless. I feel bad about not waiting in line on Wednesday. Oh we'll!
