Hey friends.

I was vacationing in Hawaii last week and hit the coinstar reject bin at a Safeway in Hawaii Kai. CHA-CHING!

Canadian quarter, '64 Washington, and what looks to be a Penny struck on dime planchet? I really don't know my error coins. This thing has some very unique surface errors, and the rim, while not perfectly smooth, is dime-sized. Could the rim/edge be rough because dimes have a reeded edge? Probably far fetched--just spitballing.

Anywhere I can send it or any initial thoughts for the lurking experts?

Thanks for looking!

Great finds. I haven't gotten anything from a Coinstar in a while. I suspect the cent is post mint damage...it looks like it's had a rough life.

Very Cool!!!..I find a silver in the coin star about once a week...only rosies thou. It looks like that penny has been thru the wash ..Literally..>Cool finds thou

I doubt that Lincoln cent is a true mint-made error ~ looks like it was damaged outside the mint. A cent struck on a dime planchet will be the "silver" color like a normal dime, not copper colored.

What's the weight compared to a regular penny? Could someone hammered a dime and penny together?
