I had $28 and change in mostly dimes and halves in the car. I needed to get Cokes for the weekend. The store had a Coinstar with no store gift card. They had a Memorial Day special buy 2 12 pack of Coke products for $13.70 and get 3 12 packs free. So based on the savings on the Cokes I used the Coinstar there (which counts dimes accurately, no errors) and paid the 9.8% or $2.76.

I NEVER pay Coinstar fees, but the deal the store had seemed worth while to pay Coinstar.

What do you think? I did search the branches in the shopping center, no keepers. 2 branches.

Good deal might have spent over 1/2 gallon of gas and time to save less than 3 dollars plus the coke deal

If you weren't addicted, you would have realized you could have paid with coins.
Ok wise guys, what have you bought with unrolled dimes?

Some self checkouts have a coin spot where you can just toss the change in and it counts it.

lol I just did this today for the first time. Bought almost $100 in groceries and paid the entire thing in change from my CRH searches.

I presumed it might of been halves, if they didnt have auto-check-out mighta saved you some time if you wanted pop that bad yo.
