I had $28 and change in mostly dimes and halves in the car. I needed to get Cokes for the weekend. The store had a Coinstar with no store gift card. They had a Memorial Day special buy 2 12 pack of Coke products for $13.70 and get 3 12 packs free. So based on the savings on the Cokes I used the Coinstar there (which counts dimes accurately, no errors) and paid the 9.8% or $2.76.

I NEVER pay Coinstar fees, but the deal the store had seemed worth while to pay Coinstar.

What do you think? I did search the branches in the shopping center, no keepers. 2 branches.

Some self checkouts have a coin spot where you can just toss the change in and it counts it.

lol I just did this today for the first time. Bought almost $100 in groceries and paid the entire thing in change from my CRH searches.
